A story based on life events of famous gymnast Olga Korbut.

A.S. Pushkin's fairy tales "The Tale of the Fisherman and the Fish" and "The Tale of the Dead Princess and the Seven Heroes" staged by the actors of the Central Children's Theater.

The film tells about the inhabitants of the Russian city of Tsaritsyn-Stalingrad-Volgograd. The film consists of three novellas, united by the theme of love and the scene - a city on the Volga.

Young musician Zhenya Kovalchuk falls in love with aerobatic pilot Yulia. The feeling is mutual, but Yulia cannot bring herself to reveal her feelings to Zhenya. Then the famous, but not yet elderly, Doctor of Science Kressovsky, who also hopes for Yulia's affection, stands in his way. The two suitors clash with their swords, and the duel ends with the doctor being wounded. The doctor intrigues, and Zhenya faces expulsion from the institute.

Mature couple is very serious about having New Year eve in family circle but their suddenly-grown-up children are dead serious to have it their way.
