Follow in the footsteps of burlesque actor Pierre Richard, a key figure in French cinema in the 1970s and 1980s.

After a distinguished career in the French Navy, 77-year-old Régis Morel spends most of his time on his own boat, a 12-meter sailboat. But one day, a significant event abruptly confronts him with his past, abruptly disrupting his tranquility. Sixty years later, he finally has the opportunity to have his paternity recognized in the name of the child he once was, and to exercise the rights that come with it. But Régis finds himself facing a family of provincial notables clinging to their fortune and their high opinion of themselves.

Marc Delvaux, a famous retired police commissioner, lives alone in a large building in the Lyon countryside on the banks of the Saône. When a lawyer friend asks him to house Emma for a while, a young woman who has to testify, he accepts without suspecting that he has just signed his return to the field.

This documentary brings a lighting on the originality and the specificity of the actor-author Pierre Richard, improbable synthesis of the talking ant silent films, heir to Buster Keaton for the gestural one and the expression of the body, and to Groucho Marx for the puns and the burlesque verbal one. Conceived like a voyage inside the universe of Pierre Richard, "the Art of unsteadiness" makes it possible to better understand its step, its method of actor, director and gag man. With through many testimonies, extracts of films and archives documents, drawn up here the portrait of one of the large last burlesques.

This is a suspense drama about Esther, Lamar, and Zed, three friends who live together. Tired of having financial problems, they decide to hit it big somehow. They visit Armand, a former 'Godfather' who has now retired. They soon realize that, in contrast to their world of easy living with few responsibilities, Armand's world belongs to the underground with its own code of behavior. Their involvement in that world brings them face to face with events they had never imagined before.

Tunisian-born Myriam, a Sephardic beauty, lives in Montreal. Théo, her grad-student boyfriend, breaks up with her, and she's desolate. She house-sits for a friend for several weeks: during that time, her father arrives looking for her after 20 years, Théo realizes he misses her, and she meets the quirky Lou, a poetry-spouting squatter who introduces himself by clipping a lock of her hair during a movie; he later breaks into her flat to chat with her. She's angry with her father, confused by Théo, and delighted with Lou, whose free spirit and undemanding attention inspire her. Working out her feelings about her father gives her to key to decide what to do next.

Joséphine (aka Babou) and Grégoire (aka Pacha) live peacefully with their daughters and grandchildren. This gentle life is about to be disrupted by the unexpected return of their son Thibault, who has been living in Brazil for several years…
