An employee marries a wealthy widow with a daughter and she gives birth to a boy. The husband is jealous of his wife's attention to her daughter and plots to poison the girl. His son accidentally dies instead and the mother is accused of his murder.

The events revolve around an innocent young man who is thrown into prison as a result of a foreign drug dealer's hatred towards him because his mistress loves him.
