It is the winter of 1943. Somewhere in central Greece. A captain and a sergeant of the Greek army are the only survivors of a failed sabotage attempt against a German target during World War II. The two men are forced to flee to a village. They are pursued by a platoon of unwanted German army soldiers led by a tough German lieutenant. In the midst of war, a love is born that will change everyone's lives.

Michalis and Myrsini, two young people, are preparing to set up home, dreaming of a peaceful and beautiful life. At the same time, the five elders of Samothrace decide to expel the Turkish tax collector from the island and join the revolutionary movement of the time. Three months of peace follow, but the island is preparing for the possibility of conflict. A group of people is formed to pull the strings, with the participation of the five elders, the Visvizi family, a military leader from Samos, and a mysterious stranger named Aran. At the end of August, Samothrace is surrounded by Turkish ships. Each of the heroes will face the evil that is coming. The great struggle for survival begins...

In 1821, in Cinema, he records the cinematic representations of the Revolution from the first decades of the 20th century. until the present day. Despite the fact that the Revolution of 1821 constitutes the founding act of the modern Greek state, as a subject matter it is underrepresented in national film production. This is one of the points on which the research looks, which simultaneously examines the periods of concentration of films on the subject of the Revolution or, respectively, the periods of its collective silence. The purpose of the documentary is to study the ideological discourse and the cinematic language of the films with the theme of 1821, in order to highlight the function of the cinema as a carrier of Public History and as a factor in shaping the collective historical consciousness.

The film is based on true events, the battle of the Monastery of Dobra in Veroia, in March 1822. However, history repeats itself. Amidst the hostile climate of war, two families meet at a monastery to secretly perform a wedding. However, this does not go unnoticed. A betrayal will lead thousands of Turkish soldiers to the monastery. The abbot of the monastery, the monks, and the members of the two families take up arms, and the siege begins. Along with it, a struggle for survival and a series of revelations also begin. The story unfolds on the big screen through a conversation between two Greek army officers at the Roupel Fortress in March 1941, who are facing the same challenges a few days before the German attack.
