Fox Hunting adapted from Wang Jianxing's popular novel of the same name, the original work won the "Golden Shield Literature Award". It is about the kidnapping of the daughter of the chairman of a company based in a certain country abroad, and a huge ransom. The company's security captain and veteran Xiao Jian, in order to make up for his negligence, safeguard the dignity of the Chinese people, assist the country's police officer Mo Tai through hardships, wipe out the terrorists, and rescue the touching stories of his compatriots.

Lord of Shanghai (Chinese: 上海王) is a 2016 Chinese action film co-written, produced and directed by Sherwood Hu and stars Hu Jun, Yu Nan, Rhydian Vaughan, and Qin Hao.[1] The film is an adaptation of Hong Ying's novel of the same name.[2] It picks up the story of three generations of the Lord of Shanghai and their love story of the legendary woman Xiao Yuegui.

The story follows Shanghai hitman Zhao as he prepares to retire. He receives two kill contracts, both to take place at the same time and the same location: but the target of one contract is the consignor of the other. In order to make up for a mistake he made long ago, Zhao decides to take on both contracts and to make a fortune for his salvation. But what awaits him is a huge and complex abyss.

Yu Chau is a cop who has gone so deep undercover within the triad. He can no longer tell which side of the law he's on. When he accidentally kills one of his pals in an operation, he runs off into the boonies to lick his wounds.
