Sotiria Iatridou

A reserve officer spends his vacation in Poros and falls madly in love with a girl. However, his uncle informs him that he must leave for the Korean War. During his absence, his beloved refuses to obey her father's orders to marry another man and takes refuge in a monastery, where she falls seriously ill. The officer returns from the war, and his beloved dies in his arms. He will willingly follow her into death.

Mr. Spyros is released from prison after having served time for the murder of his wife's lover. He accidentally meets a young couple who want to get married, but the mother of the girl is against the marriage. When Mr. Spyros realizes that the girl is his daughter and her mother his wife, he makes an important decision.

The film was shot in Constantinople by the director of the National Turkish Theatre, Muhsin Ertugrul with a script by Grigorios Xenopoulos, based on his novel by the same name. It was shown as one of the first contemporary Greek films to include full sound and conversation.
