A young man, Ben Freidman (Scott Wilson) raised by wealthy adoptive Jewish parents in Beverly Hills, decides that he is ready to finally meet his biological parents. He faces disappointment upon learning of the death of his biological mother. His biological father, meanwhile, resides in a psychiatric care unit.

Spunk is an experimental documentary where reality and virtual reality blend into a surrealistic sexual collage. 36 minutes long, it showcases digital sex with webcams, mobile phones and the fantasies the participants live through the digital media. Spunk has two parts. In the first it references the internet aesthetics and online gay cruising through time. In the second it transports the viewer into a fantasy world. In those virtual settings horny men openly demonstrate their cyber sexuality.

With equal rights in Canada, including same-sex marriage, and a younger generation of LGBTQ people no longer feeling threatened in the streets or in mainstream bars and nightclubs, do we still need a queer neighbourhood or queer spaces? As a number businesses in Toronto's own gay village close their doors and LGBTQ people move to other parts of the city, this documentary asks: Is the village dying?

Filmed entirely in the director's Toronto apartment, What I LOVE about being QUEER is a candid and raw look at queerness. In some scenes, the hum of Shraya’s refrigerator or soft giggling can be heard off in the distance. It all makes for an honest, yet familiar account of being queer… Shraya’s intimate, yet humourous approach is a welcome change of pace.
