The last day of the first year of the young Slovak Republic is coming to an end. Everyone is celebrating. The king of the underworld, Efendi, and the President. Only the President has nothing to celebrate. The President, who himself has trodden the path to office, refuses to appoint his clever Chalanis as Minister. The President will become uncomfortable. How to make him listen to what the President wants? The President's son is beaten up in broad daylight by an organised group and taken abroad a few months later. A young Secret Service agent, Oskar, gripped by conscience, confesses to an investigator that he took part in the abduction at the behest of his superiors...

The fate of Ondrej Horniak, a young civil engineer, who after graduating starts working in a construction company as a deputy construction manager on a large construction site. Here he encounters all the ills of socialist construction - sloppiness, corruption, careerism, irresponsibility. After an accident at a construction site, for which the perpetrators face prison, his superiors want to put all the blame on the young engineer Horniak.

Finding shelter with the hermit Hans (Peter Staník), a friendship grows between the two, as Hans teaches Esben how to survive secluded from the rest of mankind, and introduces him to the secrets of medicine. But when Hans himself is taken, Esben is forced to flee again...

A story based on two short stories by the Slovak classic Martin Kukučín, which in a humorous and kindly tone brings closer the nature of our people.

A psychological drama of a high-profile family in the 1920s. András Erdély, the son of an influential MP, is placed in a psychiatric sanatorium to escape punishment for the murder of his wife. Through his memories and intimate confessions, the viewer gets to know the atmosphere of the house ruled by his despotic father, the son's journey from "better society" to a social career and uncovers the secret of his sexual deviations, everything that led András, a mentally disturbed man, to crime. The story of love, morbid passion and hatred is also a questioning of the roots of evil in man, of responsibility for one's own actions and of the limits of tolerance and medical ethics.

A TV adaptation of a historical comedy from Dürrenmatt's early period, depicting in an ironic manner the final moments of the Roman Empire, which its emperor Romulus Augustus decides to destroy and lay at the feet of the conquering Germanic tribes.
