Pasi, a lonely but kind-hearted designer of artificial animals, lives in a world where nature is just a memory and human well-being is organized with perhaps too much care. One day, Pasi accidentally finds the world's last living squirrel and meets Emilia, an official who enforces the rules of well-being. Pasi decides to defy society's rules and help the squirrel, but something unexpected happens—the squirrel becomes depressed and Pasi falls in love.

Konsta has just been released from prison and has returned to his people in the countryside. Past grudges drive him back into the drug business, despite the efforts of those around him to keep him on the right track. In the end, Konsta is forced to confront his past in a surprising way and makes a decision that will determine the rest of his life.

Society has collapsed and individual survivors are fighting for their existence against viruses, acid rains and swarms of cannibals. Grave diggers Lars and Donald spend their nights in their base, safe from the acid rain, and during the day, when the rains stop, they dispose of the bodies of the infected. A menacing cannibal mob forces the survivors to ally with other survivors and prepare for the battle ahead.

In a record store, 15-year-old Vaula tries to blend in. All the customers seem to know what they are doing, except her. But Vaula is interested in something completely different from the records – the store’s ever so lovely sales assistant Patisse. Patisse is funny, beautiful and, first and foremost, the coolest person on earth. She is everything Vaula ever wished for. But how do you impress someone who already has it all?
