The virtual British band Gorillaz will bring their comic characters to life at Flow Festival 2022. As part of their Gorillaz European tour, they will be stopping off at Flow Festival in Helsinki. An event that matches the band's stature. Founded by Britpop legend Damon Albarn and illustrator Jamie Hewlett, the internationally acclaimed band Gorillaz has turned singer 2D, bassist Murdoc Niccals, guitarist Noodle, and drummer Russel Hobbs into international superstars. Since their debut album Gorillaz in 2001, the band has developed a unique universe in which visual art and visionary pop form the perfect chemistry, resulting in a continuous and relevant creation that audiences have been unable to get enough of since their formation in 1998. The Grammy and Brit Award-winning band has been named the world's most popular virtual band by The Guinness World Records.

The set features songs from the Song Machine project, along with some revered classics from the group’s back catalogue. The full Gorillaz live band, plus a choice selection of featured artists, showcasing their first live performance since 2018. This special presentation also features a pre-show programme and exclusive behind-the-scenes footage.

Chronicling the creative process, intimate collaborations and the fascinating characters behind Africa Express' EGOLI album, recorded in one week in Johannesburg South Africa in 2018 with BCUC, BLK JKS, Blue May, Damon Albarn, DJ Spoko, Dominowe, Faka, Georgia, Ghetts, Gruff Rhys, Infamous Boiz, Mr Jukes, The Mahotella Queens, Moonchild Sanelly, Morena Leraba, Muzi, Nick Zinner, Nonku Phiri, Otim Alpha, Phuzekhemisi, Poté, Remi Kabaka Jr, Sibot and Zolani Mahola.

Demon Dayz Festival is a live Gorillaz performance that was held on June 10th, 2017 and was sponsored by Red Bull. The event was announced on March 6th, 2017 and was held at the Dreamland amusement park in Margate, Kent, England. The lineup for the Demon Dayz Festival included many of the collaborators on Humanz, such as Little Simz, Vince Staples, Kali Uchis, De La Soul, Savages’ Jehnny Beth, Danny Brown, as well as collaborators from previous albums.

On June 20, 2017, Gorillaz debuted an immersive 360-degree video experience in Cologne that fans all over the world were able to participate in. The show is a part of an album showcase series that includes similar performances in Budapest, Warsaw, and Katowice.
