Within the walls of their shared home, twenty-year-old Janka realises that she has fallen into the trap of the monotony of her job. While Beni grows tired of their stagnant lives, Janka's desire for change is awakened when she is given the opportunity to change jobs. However, she is confronted not only with her own desires, but also with the uncertainty of Beni's ambitions. On the morning of Janka's job interview, the young couple, who are wary of open and honest communication, drift apart, not yet fully understanding the significance of their decisions.

National problems between the bride of Swabian origin and the bridegroom from Székelys of Bucovina burst out in the marriage, but the film also shows the possibility for reconciliation.

Milla, a 24-year-old ballet dancer, is given the opportunity to audition abroad for a position she has a good chance of getting. Fearing how this might affect her relationship if she gets the job, she struggles to tell her boyfriend about the opportunity and to make the decision whether to go for it or not.
