In the quiet simplicity of their lives, seven-months pregnant Maloti Rani and sanitary shop salesman Polash Das find solace and love, despite their ongoing hardship. Maloti's world shatters when a mall blast claims her husband Polash in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Unsure of her unborn child's future, she battles her in-laws and society, fighting to prove Polash's accidental death.

A 40 year old painter, who lives in a wooden and bamboo house on stilts in the middle of a polluted lake on the outskirts of Dhaka City. Alpha's house serves as his painting. Dogs, roosters and birds also share the space with him. There are many moments when he feels a oneness with nature and with the birds and animals that surround him. He also feels deeply drawn to 'an androgynous' male-female identity. Alpha has neighbors in the nearby slum with whom he has close interaction.

The film "Chiranjeev Mujib" is based on the "unfinished autobiography" of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, setting the stage for Sheikh Mujib to become the leader of the people from 1949 to 1952 and his role in the great language movement.
