A family tries to impress a returning uncle, as they think he can lift them out of poverty. The uncle is single, he is old and if he died, all his assets would be inherited by them.

Uncle Antonio falls into a coma and the family inheritance is in danger when his fiancée arrives in town. All this while his niece asks God to heal him since she is in love with him.

"El Ojitos", a drug trafficker, is looking for a substitute to put him in the sights of the police and his enemies. He finds in Juan a replacement to make him believe that "El Ojitos" has died. However, he does not expect that Juan's luck will lead him to a better life.
