It is an absolute B movie. It starts like a fake western movie and continuous with an East European prostitute on the run from her manager. Bad example of a good quality German movie. There are many of good quality and better than average American entertainment. But this one is not.

In the second part of the historical thriller, midwife Gesa succeeds in becoming the first female medical student to be admitted to Vienna's General Hospital. But while Gesa immerses herself in the world of medicine, a gruesome series of murders begins to spread fear and terror among the women.

October 1941. Eighteen months into France’s occupation by German troops, young Communist members of the Resistance shoot dead an officer of the German Army. In retaliation, Hitler demands the deaths of 150 Frenchmen, as 'retribution'. The targets are to be mostly young men believed to share the assassins’ political convictions. Most of these men are taken from an internment camp for opponents of the occupation; a 35-year-old French rural administrator is ordered to select the victims. Although the parish priest appeals to their conscience and moral sensibilities, both the German military and their French helpers slavishly follow their orders.

A bunch of men go on a short vacation and set their inhibitions aside. Experiments, rivalry and new loves lead them to redefine who they are and how they view life. Five men from an amateur soccer team go for a short trip to a lake in Brandenburg. Out of boredom, very soon, they forget their inhibitions, reveal a lot about themselves and make themselves vulnerable, resulting in various conflicts. One of the men meets a much younger woman who rekindles a long suppressed longing in him and makes him take a fateful decision.

Chef Regina ekes out an existence at the deep fryer of a highway service station. Salvatore invites her to visit his restaurant on the Amalfi Coast. Without further ado, she accepts, travels to southern Italy and works as a kitchen assistant in Salvatore's two-star restaurant. Although the chef is a culinary genius, he has forgotten how to enjoy life with his other senses. But not everyone in the restaurant welcomes Regina with open arms.

The Berlin construction workers Micha, Silvio and Norbert are out of work. The way out spells - Norway. Because German craftsmen are in demand. The three, with 17 other desperate people, are bawling Norwegian and preparing themselves for "it's always just salmon" and fearing the darkness. Too bad that their wives have other plans.
