The ambitious police officer Cruchot is transferred to St. Tropez. He's struggling with crimes such as persistent nude swimming, but even more with his teenage daughter, who's trying to impress her rich friends by telling them her father was a millionaire and owned a yacht in the harbor.

Despite her attentions, the young dancer falls in love with the false Chamery, who seems to have sworn the Baron's doom and ridicules him in the salons.

The two youths meet and fall in love not knowing about their parents plan and even when the truth comes out and they are told to break the engagement because they are not rich, they fight to stay engaged and marry.
