Vienna, 1937, on the eve of the annexation of Austria into Nazi Germany. The young and inexperienced Franz Huchel begins to learn about both the joys and hardships of life by working as an apprentice to the mutilated war veteran Otto Trsnjek in a small tobacco shop, where he meets the famous psychiatrist Sigmund Freud, a regular customer, who will become a valuable friend in times of chaos and uncertainty.

But she catches the thief, who is immediately arrested and dies shortly afterwards under mysterious circumstances in a Mexican prison. Katja's daughter Maren arrives unexpectedly - and is kidnapped in the street. They want to release Maren in exchange for the mask. But the precious find does not belong to Katja. To save her daughter, she has to become a thief herself...

A summer's day on Lake Chiemsee: children discover the body of a man on a sailing boat. Inspector Hattinger and his colleagues from the Prien police start investigating. Shortly afterwards, a second body is found: The author Annette Kaufmann has been murdered in her vacation apartment. It is a serial murder, the perpetrator seems to know Inspector Hattinger personally and provokes him with bloody clues. There has been a fateful connection between the two murder victims for decades: Both are partly to blame for the death of a young girl who lost her life due to a doctor's blunder.

The film recounts the adventures of Julian, Dick, Anne, George and Timmy the dog on their first holiday together at the seaside. In an old smugglers' cave, the children happen to overhear a radio message that refers to the abduction of George’s father Quentin. The professor has set up a laboratory on Kirrin Island where he’s doing research on a new energy generation method. Someone has obviously taken great interest in the valuable research results. But neither the police nor George’s mother Fanny believe the children. They are now on their own and discover a conspiracy that almost takes their breath away.

Lawyer Sarah Stein has her life firmly under control and a clear goal for her career: to become a partner in the renowned Frankfurt law firm she works for. However, the latest case her boss entrusts her with seems more like a beginner's job: the elderly foster father of winegrower Peter Jahn has died. As there appears to be no will, his biological son Siggi, as sole heir, claims all rights to the family vineyard. And as Peter has not responded to a letter from a lawyer, Sarah is now supposed to hand him the notice of termination in person.
