Arthur Dudley can finally retire, or so he thinks. After receiving an unfortunate letter from his local Job Centre, Arthur is plunged into the depths of an anti-retirement scheme by his government. Arthur endeavours to fight this system and eventually death themselves.

A hapless stage musician struggles to keep the attention of her meagre audience. When her tricks start to backfire with increasingly dire results, she turns to ever more spectacular methods.
