Six friends, all former football players now in their fifties, are each struggling in their own way with their teenage children. The couple Antonia, or Toni, and the former star chef Rufus run the country inn "Kupferkanne" together. They keep getting into arguments about it. When Toni's mother wins a wellness vacation for two to the Baltic Sea in a competition, Toni decides to go along. Rufus is delighted, as it means he can finally work in peace on turning the "Kupferkanne" into a Michelin-starred restaurant. While on vacation, mother Heidi falls in love with Ivo, a former acquaintance of Rufus from his star chef days. She wants to start a new life with him and, to Toni's horror, is prepared to put her share of the "Kupferkanne" on the line.

Even a God-like gourmet instance can sometimes be wrong: out of the blue, Eifel landlady Toni gets a star for her cooking skills. There is in their "copper can" only a lunch table with bourgeois home cooking. Of course, it is a mistake of the renowned restaurant guide, the star chef Rufus expensive: without the prestigious star threatens his eponymous gourmet temple off! When his snobbish regulars turn to Toni's "copper can", the landlady gets cold feet: In contrast to her mother Heidi, she wants to eliminate the error as quickly as possible from the world.

Henriette's second assignment as a premium nanny also takes her to an exotic location. The young-at-heart woman in her mid-50s travels to South Africa to look after two bored children on a farm in the wilderness. Anton and Linus are staying with their grandfather Konrad Eckstein for four weeks. Eckstein doesn't really have much interest in his grandchildren, preferring to spend his time with his animals. Nanny Henriette comes at just the right time - even if he can't warm to the older lady either. But Henriette refuses to accept Eckstein's stoic nature. She investigates why the grandfather has no desire to spend time with his grandchildren and also wonders why Johanna Eckstein's daughter left the farm a long time ago. Who knows, maybe Henriette can reunite the family.
