Tom (4 years old), Suzanne (8) and Derek (10) spend the weekend with their grandparents. But nothing is as usual: Grandpa seems to be elsewhere; Tom wonders where Grandma has gone, she who always tells him incredible stories; Derek is hard at work renovating the old apple tree hut. So following in the footsteps of her ancestor, Suzanne improvises herself as a storyteller to illuminate the house with imaginary and wonderful stories and try to fill the absence of Grandmother. The movie is an adaptation of three tales written by Arnost Goldflam.

A little girl and a socialist orphanage. It is a strict children’s institution. How to overcome fears, insecurity and loneliness? To do this, the girl creates another self to talk to and argue with. And, of course, the dream of America where everything is beautiful and good. Where her father lives and waits for her. A girl and her foster family. There’s plenty of everything, but it doesn’t feel right. Emma’s trials don’t end there. Again and again, she must find the strength to hope, the stamina to live.

One phone call shakes Petra's life from the ground up. Her husband's fatal collapse causes Petra to become a widow from day to day. As she soon finds out, sadness and loneliness are not the only challenges she has to face.

The main character, Klára, can still be just as insecure and confused at forty as she was at eighteen, only it doesn't look so cute anymore. Her marriage ends overnight, and she finds herself once again in the unpredictable world of dating and dating mishaps. She's raising two daughters, trying to survive her eccentric mother's lifestyle, and on top of that, she starts getting advice from an amazing relationship coach and influencer. Up until this point, she had her life pretty much planned out, but now she's become self-taught.

Rouzbeh arrives in Prague, far from his troubled family life in Tehran, to research his father’s past. Visiting the flat where his father, a communist expatriate, lived 50 years ago, in the times of Czechoslovakia, he is stopped by a policewoman investigating a recent accident. The current resident of the flat, Vladimir, who turns out to be Rouzbeh’s half-brother, has fallen out the window. Discovering hidden corners of Vladimir’s life and getting closer to his soul, Rouzbeh learns a shocking truth about his father, totally contradicting the image of a hero he had about him. This puts him on the path which led to Vladimir's fall from the window.

Irena Kopáčová, a relationship psychologist, hits rock bottom when her practice lease is terminated and she discovers her partner’s infidelity. After drunkenly visiting a soothsayer and wishing to be a man, she wakes up in a male body and must navigate life from an entirely new perspective, struggling to convince others of her true identity.

Josef is a writer aged sixty, who thinks that nothing can surprise him any more. One evening, though, his phone rings and he finds himself caught up in a series of events that turn his world upside-down. His best friend – also a writer – tries to commit suicide; his young girlfriend Katka tells him she’s pregnant; and the man with hare ears – his alter ego from one of his stories – appears to him in everyday situations.

Respected pediatrician Zdeněk retires to the delight of his wife Olga, daughter Zuzana, and especially his granddaughter Aneta, who admires him and writes a school seminar paper about his career. However, Zdeněk harbors a long-held secret…

The film chronicles the events of a village on the Czech-Austrian border from the 1930s to 1950s, where genocide occurred due to fallout between German citizens and Czechs who collaborated with the Nazi regime during the war.

My Uprising II is a multimedia project realized for young people at the time of the 75th anniversary of the SNP with the aim of introducing them to this event through stories of individual heroism of ordinary people. The basis of the project is a series of six film stories produced in cooperation with RTVS, in which the main characters are portrayed by well-known personalities of today.
