Ninth-grader Nikola, along with her younger sister Aneta and their father, are moving to a new city. This means changing schools and finding new friends. Nikola is starting ninth grade in an unfamiliar environment where she has to earn her place. However, it is not easy for her, because the girls are led by Majda, who resents the fact that the class idol Šimon has begun to discreetly eye the new student.

In four tragicomic short stories—banking, confessional, medical, and state secrets—the viewer learns what can happen when bank clerks, priests, doctors, and ministers reveal or abuse official secrets. Petr and Richard are among those for whom fixed working hours are a nightmare. They want to be masters of their own time and not be subordinate to anyone. Petr also wants to fulfill his dream of becoming a great composer. The shackles of a regular job terrify them both. But money is a necessity, and they have to earn it somehow. How about trading in lies? Problems arise when they stop just trading in lies and start living with them in their private lives. Both realize that the situation is getting out of hand and that something needs to be done. Perhaps love is stronger than lies... But isn't love ultimately the biggest lie in their lives? Who will finally break out of the vicious circle? Petr or Richard?

Lojzička is a quirky princess from Enykytánie who is more interested in physical education and her parrot Ferda than in her princess duties. And to make matters worse for her parents, the water sprite Bonifác chooses her as his bride and threatens to destroy the entire kingdom. Lojzička refuses to give in, runs away to join a troupe of actors, and becomes a famous tightrope walker. However, she is unable to escape her fate—in the end, she must deal with both the water sprite and her role as future queen. Fortunately, she discovers true love, makes good friends, and also realizes that everything must be learned and that there is always a silver lining...

A painting of a beautiful maiden was hidden in the darkest tower of the kingdom. The prince discovered it and decided to search for his beautiful maiden in the wide world. His dream girl Mahulena really exists and has long been dreaming of the prince. The prince must overcome the intrigues of the evil stepmother and also fulfill three wishes that Mahulena came up with to get rid of her suitors...
