The tale of a group of women (a sweet old lady, her religious niece, her servant and the latter's disabled mother), all so generous and selfless that they almost compete with one another as ferocious rivals to see who can help most and make the greatest sacrifice for the others' wellbeing. And we all know the well-known saying: 'The road to hell is paved with good intentions'.

Zeta has a month to hand in a novel she has been commissioned to write and every day she searches for inspiration among the strange customers who are regulars at the Café Rossignol. There she becomes close to Alicia, a pretty waitress who doesn't want to fall in love; she gets to know Pascal, the owner of the bar and a cabaret artist who is nervously waiting for the arrival of his old friends and lovers Irene and Kurt. Or she leaves with Don José another regular who is tormented by a letter he doesn't dare to open. They all want to change their lives. The moment has come to be brave and try to do the impossible. Can they put the moon in a bottle..?

R2 is going through hard times: his past failures have earned the anger of the Chief Inspector. He finds consolation visiting Didi's bar to cheer listening to music, especially blues. In addition, the Chief Inspector is jealous since he knows that R2 receives letters from the Palacio de la Zarzuela. Aided by his trusty and faithful Inspector Cardenas,he tries to solve all the cases that are presented, using methods rather unorthodox, including the use of disguises. One day, he decides to solve a very interesting case: the blackmail to a rich businessman who is threatened by the kidnapping of his young wife.

Andrés, a dowdy Spaniard, goes to Paris on holiday, hoping to meet a pretty French girl. His wishes may come true after meeting Ninette, his landlord's sensual and possessive young daughter.

This movie doesn't have any coherent plot. It's the portrait of the lives of different people in the hard years of post-war in Spain (the 40's), and how they manage to survive in a country desolated by the war. Like other films: La colmena or Roma (Fellini) it shows us lots of characters and some moments of their lives.

Fidel, an Asturian miner, after the closure of the mine where he works, decides to walk to Madrid with his family, to ask the king why the Constitution is not met, specifically the article that points out that all the Spanish citizens have the right to have a decent work. Will the king receive him?

Dr. Molinos, a prestigious cardiologist, and his wife Isabel are going through a serious marital crisis. They live in Oviedo, in the oppressive Spain of the 50s, in the company of two maids: Escolástica and Jovita. His only daughter, Maribel, entered a convent of nuns. The unexpected love felt by Dr. Molinos for Julia, a young doctor who is much younger than him, makes him feel alive again.

Arturo is married to Elena and they have four grown children, they are wonderfull but they are still living at home. Arthur is writer and that's a job that requires peace, silence and concentration, something imposible at Arturo's home. His editor convince him to make his children go out from home so Arturo start a kind of "guerrilla war" to make his sons become independent.
