A struggling actor, Stéphane arrives with his troupe at the Avignon Festival to perform a boulevard play. There, he meets Fanny, a renowned actress, and falls under her spell. Taking advantage of a misunderstanding to get closer to her, Stéphane sinks into a lie that he will have to keep going for the duration of the festival... but which will quickly overwhelm him!

At the Festival d'Avignon, all kinds of theatre coexist without ever really mingling. Stéphane acts in a popular comedy while Fanny plays in a classical piece by Victor Hugo. In order to seduce her, Stéphane makes her believe he is playing the role of Rodrigue in Corneille's renowned masterpiece: Le Cid.

For this new year, Pierre, the director of the Grand Restaurant is thinking big to try to get the famous star from the famous Michalon guide! And for that, he settles at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. Pierre faces an unscrupulous culinary critic, who will offer him a dubious deal: to dismiss his historic chef in exchange for this famous star. Will the manager of the Grand Restaurant accept?
