The 1970s, USSR. Experienced bodyguard and KGB officer Pavel Selikhov fails to prevent the theft of a unique diamond from the dacha of a high-ranking official. Investigating this strange case leads Pavel to a deeply conspiratorial criminal network, the threads of which stretch to the very top. The further he goes in his search, the more strange deaths and unexpected events occur around him. The political drama is set in the Stalin's Soviet Union after the Second World War. A British archaeologist Andrei Miller is working in Iran. He is mistakenly kidnapped and arrested by the KGB. He is falsely accused of spying and wrongfully sentenced to a Gulag prison-camp in Siberia.
