The year is 1943. Anna Petrova is a combat pilot who was seriously injured. She returned to the rear and works as a leading engineer at an aviation plant, where new Gyrfalcons aircraft are being prepared for testing. The plant's management, unaware of the consequences of her injury, instructs Anna, together with Major Zotov, to drive the prototype of the Gyrfalcon to the front. In addition to the desire to defeat the enemy and return home with a victory, Anna pursues a personal goal. She is determined to get even with Major Briggel, the German pilot who killed her lover.

America in the early 70s. Russian immigrant tailor Avdon Moskovitz, who survived the horrors of the Holocaust and lost his wife and two young children, decides to cheat the insurance company to help his eldest son, whom he sent to his uncle in New York before the war. One day, a stranger in black shows up on the doorstep of Moskowitz's workshop. Identifying himself as an insurance company agent, he asks the tailor to answer a few questions. Soon a simple interview turns into a real interrogation.

There are different children in one ward: one has completely gone into the virtual reality world of computer games and decided that he has ceased to be a person and turned into a Creature. The second, through the fault of his stepfather, was carried away by the ideas of Nazism. The third, a boy from a prosperous family, no longer wanted to live and tried to step off the balcony. The fourth is just silent and hates everyone.

The year is 1941. Nazi Germany has declared war on the USSR and begins launching air assaults on Moscow and St. Petersburg. Stalin immediately orders a retaliatory air campaign under the code name “Wings over Berlin.” The closest entry point to Berlin from the USSR border was an airfield on the Estonian island Saaremaa in the Baltic Sea. It would be a 7-hour flight over enemy territory in outdated aircraft leaving no chance of survival for the tail crew members in case of attack. Despite overwhelming odds, the first units completed the mission and made it back to base safely, unlike many others that followed.

The film follows two student cinematographers who, as the war approaches Moscow, refuse to be evacuated and instead volunteer to be front-line cameramen capturing the horrors of war and heroism of the soviet soldiers. At the same time, we witness another storyline taking place in the US. After the premiere screening of the already completed documentary “Moscow Strikes Back”, one of the members of the Academy Awards selection committee is trying to persuade his fellow colleagues to establish a new category of Best Documentary in the upcoming Oscars event.

Student Artem falls in love with a young beauty from the Black Sea. Having lost his head, he drops everything and goes for his beloved to the Russian South, about which he knows nothing. At sea it turns out that the beautiful Ksyusha is already being looked after by two serious local competitors - a handsome sailor and a daring policeman. It seems that the naive student simply has no chance. Even the help of his new friends seems to only get in the way. But our hero is not going to give up: it means war!
