A fictionalized account of the lives of 1980s Tamil Nadu political icons M. G. Ramachandran and M. Karunanidhi, continuing the tryst between Tamil cinema and Dravidian politics.

A group of villagers from Maranur, India, and their clash with a neighbouring village leader as their community begins to prosper. Soon, money and greed threaten a will for peaceful coexistence between the two rivalling communities.

When a man flees with a boatman's cargo the boatman confronts the woman he'd assumed was the thief's wife, who, left behind, confesses that she isn't. She was only acting as a decoy - an act, she claims, that was done from love - so he could get away with the loot, which he intends to give to his real girlfriend, a much younger, prettier girl.

A greedy woman fears she might lose control over her stepson, an illiterate and gullible person, when she learns about his unexpected marriage and attempts to sabotage his married life.

Dora kills Ramudu for revolting against the atrocities carried out by him in the village. Later, Ramudu's wife and son kill Dora, and allege the murder was committed by none other than Ramudu.

Chandram and Neelima, who are in love with each other, face troubles since her father, Bapineedu, does not approve of her choice as he belongs to a poor family.

Pruthvi is an orphan who tries hard to become a great singer. One day he comes across a beautiful, naughty young girl Maggi , and they both fall in love. When he approaches Maggi's parents to ask her hand in marriage, his criminal background comes into the picture.

A corrupt assistant of an equally corrupt mayor murders his boss and hides the body in a freezer. He finds a look-alike and forces him to pretend to be the mayor. The young man has a different agenda.
