
Emmy "Emy" Karolina Storm was a Swedish stage and screen actress. When she was 15 years old, she went to Stockholm and worked as maid and waitress. She graduated from the Royal Dramatic Theatre's acting school in 1948. Emy Storm made her film debut in Hasse Ekman's "Banketten/The Banquet" (1948).

In this film about Ingmar Bergman's parents, Henrik Bergman is studying for the priesthood and trying to make ends meet when he encounters the lovely, affluent Anna. This farce cocerns Sweden's King Gustav (Per Oscarsson who plays all the lead roles). In this film, set in 1938, a half-Polish boy goes to Poland in search of his mother, runs into financial and psychological difficulties there, and is sent back to a Swedish mental hospital. In another story, an unfortunate woman suffers a miscarriage and ends up at the asylum where the Polish boy is being kept.
