“The Moment” is about four relationships. A couple breaking up yet holding tight; a father and a daughter meeting up after a long separation; a girl escaping from growing up; and two buddies’ reunion after years of misunderstanding, each connected by a vintage photography studio holder.

Both leads give performances that go beyond their usual range in a satire that’s sometimes diverting but ultimately toothless. Entertainment veteran Shirley Yung, who directs, should know better

Ng Kau Sau was once Queen in badminton, she gave up herself after being expelled from the sport. One day she met a brunch of terrible weirdoes: the Drunken Master who was lying on the ground, one-armed Lam Chiu, visually-impaired Ma Kun, and the scar-faced boss Lau Dan who suffered from loss of hearing. They were the most notorious robbers 10 years ago, but they decided to be good men after they got out from jail and formed the "Lau Dan Badminton Club". Sau was impressed by them and decided to join Dan and practice seriously and go to the competition together.

Lam Yi (Grace Ip) returns to the orphanage that she grew up in after a broken relationship leaves her homeless. On the way back one night, she encounters a physically scarred child abandoned on the street with nowhere to go. Feeling sorry for her, Lam Yi takes her back to the orphanage to care for her. However, an investigation into the child's past reveals spooky paranormal events that becomes far more horrifying that Lam Yi could ever imagine.

Shek Siu Lung is a jewelry chain stores owner. Lung is the only son that his parents dominate his life very harsh. One day, Lung's best friend Lau Wah invites him to a costume party. Lung dresses like Green Hornet to the party. Grace lost way and gets rob. Luckily Green Hornet appears from the mist and defeated the thief. While Grace wants to thank him, Lung disappears in the mist instantly because he has to go back to home before midnight like the Cinderella. Grace amazed and admires Lung's Green Hornet image and Kung Fu. Grace believes in fate. The meeting with Lung is her destiny. She hopes to meet him again someday.

A middle-aged reporter uses his connections through many higher offices to make his stories come together. Dealing with modern journalism, the movie tries to do justice to both sides of the newspaper industry. On one side, the reporters are trying to do a good job in reporting the news, and for some, bringing resolution to problems. On the other side, the "victims" of reporters, who believe they are entitled to their privacy, are preventing the reporters from doing their job.

The search for her vanished brother Tsuyoshi leads Kaoru to the lonesome village Kozukata in the Japanese back-land. The locals react repelling to her, which the exception of the Chinese girl Sally. As her car breaks down Kaoru is trapped in the village; will she have to repay for something she has done in the past?

Brought up in a small walled village of Hong Kong, three friends are street fighters thirsty for great fame in the triad society.
