The classic story about a musicians from Bremen is told in not so classical way.

An unofficial sequel to the movie "Ivan Vasilyevich Changes His Profession". The events take place on New Year's Eve 1997-1998, 24 years after the events of the movie. According to the plot, the main characters (Shurik, Bunsha, Zina and Ulyana Andreyevna) are going to celebrate New Year's Eve, and the engineer Alexander Sergeyevich Timofeev (Shurik) decides to present his recreated (and modernized) time machine to the guests. Having gone to the XVI century, they find there an aged Georges Miloslavsky, who has been sitting as regent for 25 years instead of Ivan the Terrible, who has run away; the Tsar was so inspired by the profession of Zina and Yakin that he decided to try his hand at filmmaking and went to "Mosfilm" instead of the Tsar's chambers. In an effort to correct the disruption of the course of history, the heroes re-engage the time machine and travel back to the 1970s in search of the Tsar, who dreams of becoming an actor.

The film is about a movie actress who has arrived to conquer Moscow from a distant village. Started career doesn't add up. To the bad luck in the profession added disorder of personal life. Trying to do away with the unfortunate past, the heroine decides to return to her village. Keeping charm and vitality, she follows her own desires. As a result, her intentions are truly rewarded...

The detective story is based on the search for Antonio Stradivari's missing violin. This is one storyline of the film, but there is also a second, historical storyline that takes the viewer back to the 17th century and focuses on the life of the Master and his work on the violin.

Two kings: Fedot and Amphibrachiy have been adjoining peacefully for many years. But once Amphibrachiy disappeared, and it became difficult for queen to cope with affairs. The state began to fall into decay. Also daughter Alyona absolutely got out of control. So mother decided to marry her. The king Fedot had three sons: Paul-tsarevitch, Peter-tsarevitch and Ivan-tsarevitch, whom everybody considered to be a fool. But he managed to gain Alyona's heart and, having won Kashchei the Immortal, set free the king Amphibrachiy.

A new boy impressed everybody by his knowledge during the history lesson but this impression didn't last long.

Dmitry Gromtsev was a volunteer to go the front where he was wounded. He couldn't get back to his beloved profession of musician. The movie tells us about difficult destiny of a person who couldn't become an artist because of war.
