Life in a 19th century Russian town is focused on a group of wealthy Cavalry officers, who are enjoying their 'life in style'. The murder of retired General Gridnev was committed, and his apartment was robbed. Major of police Tagantsev goes to the tipsters bandits. But the thief-recidivist nicknamed Valek manages to outplay the detective. Tagantsev's group will have to work hard to catch the recidivist in the city by the sea Yalta...
