A cat is on the hunt in the woods with a shotgun. He comes apon a boy and girl mouse who are on a date. The cat throws the boy mouse in a lake, and runs off with the girl mouse to his cabin. When the boy mouse awakens, he finds that he can't swim very well. A "big-hearted fish" puts on a saddle and lets the mouse ride him. They ride throught the water, and the fish even hops across the grass. The mouse arrives in time to rescue his girl and punch out the mean old cat.
