Now hospitalized with amnesia, she appears to be protected by a tiny voodoo trinket that she still clutches in her hand, which possesses her car and other objects, causing mayhem throughout the city.

The body as machine - like a crashed car - of both powerful possibility and freedom and impotent, crumpled failure. Pain and pleasure heightened by the tension pulling at our own survival instinct.

Crash is a 1974 Norwegian drama film written and directed by Rolf Clemens, starring Jan Solberg and Hanne Krogh. A motorcycle accident leaves the young Jan (Solberg) paralysed. This new situation challenges his attitude towards life, and his relationship both with his parents and with his girlfriend Marianne (Krogh).

She disrupts their activity, eventually damaging their work. A variety of tactics are employed in an effort to reform her into a productive member of their society. It seems to work and she becomes a team player. But, her seeming conformity triggers a reversal as the others see their own behavior reflected in hers. They act out destroying their own work, they lose their will and ability to function - they crash. Their shut down reveals her to be an agent of change, her actions a subterfuge.
