The Story of a boy and his bear.

Henry goes around the forest and it’s serenity.

100 kilos of self-doubt: a massif of a man uses slam poetry to overcome his fears. One small step for mankind is one big leap for a shy giant.

An autobiographical piece: Weber is the off-screen narrator telling us about various key points in his life - as a teenager putting together a scrapbook of Hollywood stars and falling in love with Liz Taylor; living on a farm with Newfoundland dogs; his relationship with his father, who gave him his first camera; his first dance with a man at Stonewall bar in New York City. During the narration, images from the scrapbook and from home movies provide illustration and counterpoint. The dogs are the gentle giants, a boy's best friend.

Octopus is the fourth album by British progressive rock band Gentle Giant, released in 1972. It was the band's last album with founding member Phil Shulman and the first with new drummer John Weathers, who would remain with the band until their dissolution in 1980. Octopus remains a highly regarded example of the progressive rock genre and is generally considered to represent the start of the band's peak period. This is the 2015 5.1 surround mix produced by Steven Wilson.

Award winning producer and musician Steven Wilson has now remixed INTERVIEW in Dolby Atmos and 5.1 surround sound. The Porcupine Tree guitarist and highly regarded solo artist has long been a fan of the band, noting them as a primary influence on his own work. Wilson’s painstaking attention to detail, deep respect for the source material and keen tonal range makes the album sound as fresh today as it did on first release. In addition to the 2023 remixes, the original 1976 stereo mix, original 1976 quad mix, instrumental mixes, and custom visuals for each track are all included in the CD/Blu-Ray version. The 2023 remix is available on 180g black vinyl, with a limited edition sky blue color vinyl variant.

Gentle Giant's seventh album - originally released in 1975 - Free Hand is arguably the Giant's most accessible and vibrant release and saw the band competing with the likes of Genesis, Yes and Jethro Tull on an equal footing. This is the 2020 5.1 surround mix produced by Steven Wilson.

In 1977 Gentle Giant recorded their ninth studio album The Missing Piece. Side one saw them experimenting with quirky pop ("Two weeks in Spain"), a grandiose power ballad ("I'm turning around'), syncopated funk ("Who do you think you are?") and even the punky aggression of "Betcha thought we couldn't do it. "Normal service was resumed on side two with some of their most sublime and intricate progressive stylings to date. Award winning producer and musician Steven Wilson continues his association with the band, remixing the album in Dolby Atmos, Stereo and 5. 1 surround sound. In addition the digipak CD/Blu-ray version also contains an instrumental mix, the original 1977 stereo mix and videos for each track.

Giant on the Box features two longish television performances. First up is a '74 German broadcast that finds them on tour in support of what was ultimately to become their biggest-selling record, The Power and the Glory. During the 50-minute set, comprised of material from that album as well as a tune from their cult hit (mind you, at over 150,000 units sold at the time - and as a British import, no less - it may be more than a cult record after all) In a Glass House , a medley of tunes from Octopus and a dip back to their first, self-titled, album for an extended version of "Funny Ways," Gentle Giant demonstrate why they were such a compelling band, especially in concert.

The sequel to Giant on the Box is here, GG at the GG-Sight & Sound in Concert, featuring more live video of Gentle Giant from the archives. The main portion of this DVD was recorded in front of a live studio audience at the Golders Green Hippodrome in London and Broadcast over BBC television in January of 1978. Hot on the heels of their then new album The Missing Piece, the set contains a healthy dose of that album, along with a few older numbers. It's an hour's worth of energetic Gentle Giant, well shot and with great audio, and this collection also features some of the band's videos from the Interview and Giant For a Day albums, plus some rare film footage and hilarious audio commentary from all five members.

Compared to its fellow summits in the Alps, the Oetscher is not very high: in fact less than 2,000 meters. But among the gentle slopes of western Lower Austria it really is a giant, with shoulders broad enough to bear the last of the Alps' virgin forests, the country's coldest plateau where temperatures fall to -50, the oldest trees in all of Austria and her very own Grand Canyon, the Tormauer.

Following the masterful In A Glass House and preceding the band's commercial apex Freehand, The Power And The Glory (a concept album about power and corruption) is a gem amongst gems, mixing Gentle Giant's restless energy and invention, with beautiful melodies and potently complex rock riffage. Now Steven Wilson is offering a brand new mix of this classic album from one of the most gifted and ambitious, but perhaps also most underrated of the original wave of '70s progressive rock bands. For many (including Steven) 1974's The Power and the Glory is the band's masterpiece. Steven has remixed this album - done from the master tapes at 96/24 - keeping the essence of the original mixes but adding specific touches that he believed were important to garner an even better audiophile listening experience.
