The main plot of the film "The Principality of Serbia" was put in the first seven decades of the nineteenth century when the state was being formed and strengthened together with its historical fate. This film shows the Serbs as people who fought during the two Risings while trying to liberate by themselves hardly and for a long time. It also shows how they hardly got the recognition to their liberty and the international recognition to the right to have their own state.

The story of the life of a Serbian prince Rastko Nemanjić - Saint Sava.

Still regarded as the best Serbian documentary film account of WW1 ever, it gathers all the available footage of Serbia's army, its battles on the home ground, its refuge on the island of Corfu, its victorious offensive on the Thessaloniki Front and the return to the homeland. The original documentary footage from 1915–1918 was somewhat supplemented in a small measure with some staged reenactments of Serbian army retreating over Albania, and later liberation of Belgrade. The first version of this documentary epic was shown in 1930 under the title "For the Honour of Homeland". Andrija Glisic and Zarija Djokic later made a new sound version of the previous silent movie and renamed it "Fire Over the Balkans".

The screenplay was written immediately after the bombing of Novi Sad, 1999, but it was only a motive to speak up about the people that were humiliated for more than ten years in various ways, and that way became the victims of wrong politics, not only Milosevic's, but Western as well. The film is picturing the faith of the old Serbian warrior Milisav Janjic, who fought against the German occupation in the Second World War as a member of the "Ravnogorski pokret". The storyline narrates his memories of the past and the war events in the spring of 1941 interwoven with the contemporary moments, the author features the attack of fascist Germany, the April war and the fall of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, the misfortune placed upon the Serbian people, loss of freedom, birth of the freedom movement in Serbia and one Serbian soldier, who after 70 years of expatriation in America returns to his homeland.
