A team of dedicated amateurs work on cases involving unidentified victims. After the police have given up, this group must first solve the puzzle of the victim's identity in order to then help catch the killer. They work to give the deceased back their names, lest they become—The Forgotten.

Between 1970 and 1985, the greater Montréal area experienced about ten murders involving acts of sexual violence. Three experts, Claude Sarrazin, Guillaume Louis and Sophie Charest, examine the hypothesis about one serial killer who was in Québec during this period.

While detectives search for clues among the living, veteran Dauphin County, PA, coroner Graham Hetrick uncovers secrets of the dead. Each episode features a stylized re-enactment of a compelling homicide case taken directly from Hetrick's files. As viewers are led through a series of twists and turns, Hetrick peels back the layers of the investigation to reveal how the murder happened and who is to blame.

Clemente is joined by Scotland Yard behavioral analyst Laura Richards. Together, and with the aid of several others involved in the original case, they will try and solve the mystery of Ramsey’s death “once and for all.”

Podcaster Bob Ruff reexamines the 1993 murders of 8-year-old boys Stevie Branch, Michael Moore and Christopher Byers, using new technology and investigative insights in the hope of uncovering new information for the victims' families.
