After finding himself reincarnated into the world of a novel, Loneal goes to great lengths to steer clear of Prince Alec, the hero, to avoid disrupting the main storyline between Alec and the heroine, Lily. However, to Loneal's great surprise, the prince becomes infatuated with...him?! "A charming physique, such as yours, more than makes up for your lack of experience." Before he knows it, he finds himself melting into the prince's arms... Why is everything so different from the novel?!

After the foods win their war against the humans at the end of the film, they create Cibopolis, a city of their own ruled entirely by foods. But soon, problems arise, including rain, crows, and internal discord among the foods. To find answers, Frank, Brenda, and Barry set out to find a human.

The comedy, which takes place in a fictitious desert town near the U.S.-Mexico border, centers on the intertwining daily lives of neighbors Bud Buckwald and Ernesto Gonzales. Bud, a married father of three, is a Border Patrol agent who feels threatened by the cultural changes that have transformed his neighborhood. Living next door is Ernesto, an industrious Mexican immigrant and father of four, who is proud to be making it in America. As Bud and Ernesto’s paths begin to cross, their families become bound by friendship, romance and conflict.
