Set in a fictional city, a story about solving crime through forensic science leads to a serial murder case from 20 years ago. While assisting the police in their investigation and trying to reverse the case involving her father, female forensic doctor Song An Yan joins hands with hot-blooded detective Liu Zhi Ming in their desperate search for the truth. Along the way, they cross paths with the mysterious Lin Xiao Mei.

The show features a poker game with an endless array of entertainment. Each episode invites different celebrities from the entertainment industry to play poker and chat about recent events and interesting stories within the industry. Though the game doesn't involve real money, losing heavily will result in a larger punishment. With each hand of poker, the show offers a glimpse into the less-known aspects of the entertainment industry.

Due to sudden personality conflicts, it reveals the members' secret backgrounds.

Set in 1960s Hong Kong, "Sisters of Pearl" centers on the daughters of a jewelry merchant vying for the heirship of their family business. Wasabi Mon Amour is a TVB modern drama series broadcast in January 2008. Japanese cuisine chef Chung Lai-Wo (Michael Tao) has long been in love with his childhood friend Ko Yau-Mei (Louisa So), who is always interested in pursuing a career in showbiz. To realize her dream, Wo lies to the press and refers to Mei as "a most talented chef of the time". With Wo's help, Mei has finally landed a job as the host of a food program. As Mei is completely clueless about cooking, Wo decides to do her a favor by offering to be her assistant, which irritates his mentor Ko Shau (Paul Chun), also father of Mei, beyond measure. Although the food program turns out to be very popular, Mei often gets picked on by her half sister Ko Yim-Lai (Bernice Liu) while at work. Lai is angry with Shau for being bad to her mother and she means to make things difficult for Mei as revenge.

On the First Beat is a TVB modern action series broadcast in June 2007. The series is a direct sequel to 2005's The Academy. The main cast features Ron Ng, Sammul Chan and Chin Ka Lok from the original series and new cast including Michael Tao, Sonija Kwok, Joey Yung, Kenny Kwan and Kate Tsui. The story continues on with the two male leads in the series with their growth as young police officers with personal conflicts in their bonds as friends and romantic relationships. The drama is about the life of a group of Hong Kong police officers and cadets inside and outside of work. A direct sequel, E.U. was produced and airred in 2009 continued with Ron Ng and Sammul Chan, alongside Michael Miu, Kathy Chow, Elanne Kwong, and Michael Tse.

Love Bond is a warm family show which follows two families, the Gei and the Lam, who are neighbors in the same building. This series also marked the fifth collaboration between Michael Tao and Kenix Kwok following the first three installments of the Detective Investigation Files Series and 2004's Shine On You.

Fantasy Hotel is a TVB modern drama series broadcast in July 2005. There are three tour guides, Kam Ji-Kit (Michael Tao), Yung Ka-Man (Melissa Ng), and Hon Shan (Wayne Lai) lead tours from mainland China. One day, unexpectedly, a friend Kam Kong-Hoi (Wu Fung), gives them his hotel to take care of. Suddenly, the three are bosses and need to improve the hotel for the sake of their friend. Along the way, Ka-Man develops feelings for Ji-Kit, but because of a misunderstanding, she tries to stop her growing feelings for him. When Ji-Kit eventually finds out how Ka-Man feels towards him, he tries to court her but Ka-Man is too afraid of getting hurt.

The Academy is a TVB modern drama series broadcast in June 2005. The series follows the lives of a group of new Hong Kong Police recruits as they proceed through training at the Hong Kong Police training school. Within these 27 weeks, each of them learned their lessons, each of them become more mature, each of them become a better person as the relationship between the trainees and the trainers grows stronger and stronger. A direct sequel, "On the First Beat" was produced and broadcast in 2007 continued with Ron Ng and Sammul Chan, alongside Joey Yung, Sonija Kwok and Michael Tao. Another sequel, "E.U." was produced and released in 2009 continued with Ron Ng and Sammul Chan, alongside Michael Miu, Kathy Chow, Elanne Kong, and Michael Tse. Michael Miu reprises a new role as a triad boss in E.U., which is unrelated to his role in The Academy.
