Renowned chef Qin Fen came to Singapore with his father when he was young to escape the war in his home country. Father and son started their restaurant "Wu Shuang Lou" after much struggles and was renowned for their "Wu Shang Banquet". Qin fen took in four disciples, Nan Hua, Xi Hong, Dong Bai, Bei Fa, and they received different secret recipes from him individually. Nan Hua became the most successful among the disciples. However, he went into a coma due to an accident and his wife Chen Hui Ying took over his restaurant “Hua Hua Shi Jie”. After much rivalry between his sons Qian Ruo Wei and Qian Ruo Feng, the later finally took the top post of CEO. Ruo Feng dreams of restoring the legendary “Wu Shuang Banquet” and wants to seek the help of Xi Hong, Dong Bai and Bei Fa. However, the estranged disciples do not want anything to do with each other. Will Ruo Feng be able to realise his dreams?

Gong Jia Qiao, 66 years-old, becomes wheelchair-bound after a car accident. He currently sells lottery and tissue packets for a living. Over 30 years ago, his neighbour Guo Mei Li puts Ah Dai under his care but has never returned since. With an intelligence similar to that of a six or eight year-old child, Ah Dai can only follow simple instructions and is thus easily cheated. After completing his sentence, he meets a social worker Qing Qing and the two becomes a bickering duo.

Eat Already? is set in a coffee shop, and is centered around an elderly widow named Ah Niu Sao (Yinzhu Li) , who works as a cleaner as her sons Ah Bee (Elvin Ng) and Ah Qiang (Aden Tan) who still rely on her for their living expenses. Her elder son Ah Bee is a chronic gambler who is unemployed for a long time while her younger son Ah Qiang is an introvert who is wheelchair bound. Throughout the series, she manages to tide over various issues thanks to help from neighbours, friends and several support schemes available. Will the boys finally get their acts together and be a reliable pillar of support for their aging mother?

Qian Renjie and Luo Shuping decide to sell their HDB flat and upgrade into a condominium. However, the upgrade comes with a hefty price, leaving the couple with no savings. Renjie’s sister, Qian Meiling, loves to purchase things on instalments. Her husband, Wu Guolun, is a spendthrift who is burdened with expensive car instalments. Ye Daji meets an old classmate, Ming, who asks him out for coffee but makes him pay for a big meal instead. When a vagabond walks in and is chased away by the restaurant manager, Daji speaks up for him and even gives him a treat. Daji is sad when his girlfriend, Jiexi, turns down his marriage proposal again. Ye Da is a divorcee with a 10-year-old son, Xie Tingfeng. She lives with Daji and teaches martial arts for a living. As she has few students, Daji tries to stage fights to show off her skills.
