Ayano, an elementary school teacher in her thirties, stops by a bar one day and meets another woman named Akari. Sparks fly as the two chat, and before the night is over, Ayano even goes in for a kiss. Akari is intrigued but confused…especially when she discovers that Ayano has a husband! Mita Sakura is considered to be weird by her colleagues at the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, because she voluntarily works in the unidentified bodies department. About 20,000 unidentified bodies exist in the country and Mita Sakura works on returning these unknown deceased people to their families. She has a colleague, Tsukimoto Makoto, who works in the same department. They are totally opposite in terms of their personalities and interests. Mita Sakura is bright and warm-hearted, but Tsukimoto Makoto is calm and cold-hearted. They do share the same desire to return these unidentified bodies to their families. To find the identities of these deceased people, they rely on the few clues that are left behind on them.

Higashiyama Mitsuru is an alien who landed in Japan about 400 years ago and is currently hiding his identity and abilities by living as a university lecturer. Mitsuru is able to return back to his home star in three months time, but suddenly Sasahara Tsubaki, a top actress who is known to be a "troublemaker" moved to the condominium unit next to his and changed his life completely. What will happen between the two as Mitsuru slowly falls in love with Tsubaki just before he is about to return home?

Tsugumi, who works at an interior design firm, has an unexpected encounter with her first love from high school, Itsuki, at a dinner with her client’s whole comp any, an architectural firm. In the middle of dinner, he quietly slips away and begins to head home, getting into a wheelchair. “You didn’t know? Tetsuhiko Toma is a surgeon who studied in the United States. He begins work at a private hospital in a rural area in Japan. He believes that people should receive the same level of care at all hospitals. Guided by those principles, he takes on challenging surgeries and saves the lives of patients. Tetsuhiko Toma attempts an internal organ transplant for the first time in Japan, but the health care system blocks him.
