Jirō Tamiya

The story contrasts the life of two doctors, former classmates and now both assistant professors at Naniwa University Hospital in Osaka. The brilliant and ambitious surgeon Goro Zaizen stops at nothing to rise to a position of eminence and authority, while the friendly Shuji Satomi busies himself with his patients and research.

The drama depicts the fateful meeting and falling in love between a man living in the glamorous world of the fashion business and a woman living in the social reality of law and order.

As a former manager of a top hotel, Seiji has been entrusted with the reopening of a hotel in the high plains that has been boarded up and closed for years. With a budget of 20 million, he begins to hire interesting characters to work there and rebuild the hotel. However, his attempts to get a top chef to draw customers fail. The staff members begin to worry about the hotel's future and try to leave, but at precisely that moment, an elderly man who used to be a chef at a top hotel pays a visit. Will this mean success for Seiji or just add to his troubles?

Munekata Yuko remembered the face of Mimura Kyosuke, a doctor who killed her mother by mistake in the course of an operation. Five years later, Yuko lost her eyesight due to craniopharyngioma. One day, Yuko has an accident and she is taken to the hospital. Ironically her doctor is no other than Kyosuke. Unaware of his identity, the woman begins to fall in love with him. And although Kyosuke reciprocates her affection, he has a strong dilemma, because he knows very well whose daughter Yuko is. Will their feelings survive?

The series portrays veteran boxing world champion Ryuzo Nakane, played by Tamiya, as he fails to defend his title for the sixth time and falls from his glory after a scandal with famous singer Noriko Hanabusa, as well as his anguish and fighting instincts, and his involvement in the kidnapping of his son Takeshi, all the while pursuing family, love between parents and children, and love between men and women.

Sugiyama was undergoing training in Moses Lake, USA, for the Boeing 747 model transition training. After passing the exam and returning to Japan, he found that his wife Ayako had disappeared...

Noriko Shimura is on duty for the first time at Gyoda Hospital. The duty doctor is Yosuke Naoe. After 9PM Jiro Toda, a childhood friend of Noriko's, is brought in with a cut to his forehead from a fight. But Naoe has gone out for a drink, and can't be found. Both Toda and the ambulance crew become angry and demand to know where the doctor is. Naoe returns and seeing the commotion, he orders Toda be locked in a toilet until he calms down. Noriko is horrified by Naoe's attitude but is later impressed with his ability as a surgeon when treating Toda' s injury. This is their first fateful meeting...

Tamiya Jiro's first starring role in a TV drama. The story is set in a fictional supermarket called "Planet" in Tokyo.
