Stepa is 28 years old. He was recently released from prison on parole, and now dreams of becoming an elite plumber and working in Moscow. However, fate has other plans. Having inherited his grandmother's old room in Nizhny Novgorod, Stepa became the heir to his relative's dark past: she turned out to be a policeman's gentleman. Now a dishonest policeman demands that Stepa repay her grandmother's debt — 2.5 million rubles, otherwise the young man will go to prison again.

The main characters are five young girls who follow each other's lives on a social network. Veronica suffers from complexes due to excess weight, Ira is looking for true love, Olya is going through a crisis in family relations, Alyona is focused on creative realization, which is hindered by her husband, Dasha selflessly helps others, forgetting about herself. The desire to make their lives better leads them to the online marathon "Happiness is you!", which was launched by the psychology guru. But happiness is individual for each person, and universal advice does not always work.

In each episode, the action of Pushkin's fairy tales is transferred to our reality. The familiar Pushkin images will become even clearer: The Princess will turn out to be an instablogger, Elisha will be a rapper, and the Golden Cockerel will be a neural network.

The story is about five Moscow friends: Ole − a punchy girl from the province; Ira − suffering after breaking up a relationship with another guy; Veronica − a kind and cheerful girl struggling with excess weight all her life; Alyona − a young mother who loves her son, but really misses work; Katya − in love with a married man. According to the plot, the girls observe what is happening in the lives of their friends through Instagram, and begin to adjust their lives to what they see in the feed.

Sveta, Marina and Lyuba work as prostitutes in a small southern township. Their friend Zhanna, who got a chance for a better life, comes back from Moscow with a plan — she wants to open a local gym. Together girls decide to abandon prostitution and start legal business, but their dream to become free, happy and independent will come at a cost.
