Nanda must rethink her plansof studying in Amsterdam when she discovers she is pregnant. After losing the support of her boyfriend Léo, the young girl decides to return home, where she suffers a serious accident and dies.However, Helena, her doctor, is able to save her new-born twins: Francisco and Clara. Unfortunately, Clara suffers from Downs Syndrome. Helena feels a strong emotional tie to Clara and adopts her.Years later, the twins’father Léo, a young and wealthy businessman, returns to the scene, wanting to gain custody of the children.However, Helena and Alex fight to the end to retain guardianship of the twins, whom they have raised with such love.

It tells the story of two contrasting realities in the early 20th century: The construction of a railway in the Amazon rainforest and the glamorous life of Rio de Janeiro, where politicians and big businessmen lived. Consuelo is a young pianist heading toward the Amazon with her husband, Alonso. On the way, the two have an accident, and Alonso ends up losing his life. The two become great friends, and Joe falls in love with the girl. He takes her to live around the railroad workers' camp, where she meets Dr. Richard Finnegan, who takes care of her health and all the workers who were in a dramatic situation. Richard also falls in love with Consuelo, who repays love, but the difficulties of work and the situations in which they find themselves make it difficult for them to get closer.

Pedro da Maia, meets a beautiful woman called Maria Monforte with whom he gets married despite his father's objection. The marriage produces a son, Carlos Eduardo, and a daughter. Some time later, Maria Monforte falls in love with Tancredo and runs away to Italy with him, taking her daughter along. When Pedro finds out, he goes with his son to his father's house where he commits suicide. Carlos stays at his grandfather's house and is educated by him. Carlos, becomes a doctor and opens his own office. Later he meets a gorgeous woman, Maria Eduarda. The two fall in love and have dozens of nights together. Eventually Carlos finds out later that Maria lied to him about her past and he starts fearing the worst. In the end, Carlos finds out that Maria is his sister. He informs her that they are siblings and that they cannot live like this anymore. Carlos, to forget his tragedies, goes for a trip around the world.

It was written by Marcílio Moraes and directed by Reynaldo Boury, with co-direction by Roberto Naar. The action takes place in the city of Curitiba. It was also broadcast in Portugal.

It tells the story of young people who dream of a modeling career and the rise of their lives. It all starts when the Sex Appeal agency, led by Edgar and Cecilia, runs a contest that will award the winner two hundred thousand dollars and the possibility of living abroad. The main competitors are Angel, Vilma, Eva and Claudinha. They will do anything to earn, even things they would never imagine doing.
