Five young warriors from the ancient civilization of Dinosaur-evolved Humans are awakened in the present day after 170 million years of suspended animation when their sworn enemy, Bandora the Witch, is inadvertently released from her magical container on Planet Nemesis by two astronauts. The Super Sentai Versus Series Theater (スーパー戦隊VSシリーズ劇場 Sūpā Sentai Bāsasu Shirīzu Gekijō) was a special event on TV Asahi during the run of Tensou Sentai Goseiger, airing an hour before. The movies had commentary at the beginning and end by the Goseiger about the teams and the storylines within the movies and along with that, they also talk about what's coming up on their show.

To promote the movie Kamen Rider × Super Sentai × Space Sheriff: Super Hero Taisen Z, Toei released a series of Internet clips under the collective title Kamen Rider × Super Sentai × Space Sheriff: Super Hero Taisen Otsu!: Heroo! The evil warlord Gengetsu Kibaoni was defeated 444 years ago by the Last Ninja, the head of the Igasaki Family. In 2015, the Kibaoni Army starts rebuilding their empire and use fear harvested from humans to revive him. Five members of the Igasaki family must use their Nintality to transform into the Ninningers and fight to prevent the revival of Gengetsu Kibaoni.
